"Keep Our Skies Dark" is more of a data visualization piece about Tucson's light pollution. In 2017, NASA conducted an experiment in which they changed the light system from starting at 90% to 60% after midnight. They experimented with starting at 100% and lowering it to 30% after midnight. Although this only had a 7% reduction. So they researched and found that the light pollution in Tucson comes mostly from people leaving their own outdoor lights on. So this piece is to inform people to help reduce light pollution by turning down our lights at night and keeping our skies dark!
